Q How long does it take to learn?
A This varies a lot from person to person. It depends on past dance experience as well as natural ability. Having a good sense of rhythm certainly helps, but most of all putting in the practice time and having fun are the keys to learning fast. After your first dance lesson you will be dancing.
Q Do I need to bring a partner?
A You can if you have a partner that would like to join our classes, but if you don't have a partner, just come along! We rotate around so that everyone gets a chance to dance and practice their dance steps!
Q What should I wear to class?
A Ladies: Wear shoes with a strap, so your shoes stay snug on your feet. Close toe shoes also help in protecting your toes, in case you get stepped on (you never know)! Wear comfortable clothes which allow movement.
Guys: Wear shoes with a smooth sole.
Q If I miss the start of the 5 wk course, can I join in the 2nd week?
A Yes, it is alright to join the course on the second week of commencement.
Q Where can I go out and dance?
A We have social dances, cabarets and balls.
